Jenny Sanders is an outgoing artist who enjoys painting Holden cars from
the 1948 FX to the more recent Holden Commodores & muscle cars.
Jenny's love affair with the Holden car goes back to her first car as a
teenager which was a two-toned FB Holden Sedan purchased by her dad for her
18th birthday. Next was an EH Holden Station Wagon with which she used to
tow her horse around, then a white Holden Kingswood which would never say
die, and went around Australia twice for someone else after Jenny thought it
was due for retirement.
Jenny has been an artist all her life but only began painting Holden cars in
2005 after attending a Holden display day at Burwood in NSW, & taking a few
photos of other Holden enthusiast¹s classic beauties. She was requested to
paint an FJ for it¹s owner, other commissions followed, and in 2007 for the
first time a selection of her paintings of Holdens owned by people Jenny has
met in the various car clubs was collated for the first time in a calendar
by Bartel Publishing.
The "Holden" an Australian Icons collection has been received with acclaim
from Holden fans all over the country, so much so that some of the Holden
Club members refer to Jenny as Holden's own "Artist".
Her passion for painting the Holden car has now been put on calendar again
for 2009 with a new range of Holdens belonging to people that Jenny has met
during her travels around the country shows. This time delving into the
60's & 70's with paintings of the wonderful HJ GTS Mandarin Red Monaro,
Toranas, such as the SLR 5000 & the 1977 LX Teal Green Torana, and an eye
catching Mint Julip Sandman owned by David Guy.
With sanction from GMH Holden, Jenny's paintings of the Holden cars have now
been produced on Cinnamon Placemats & coasters in different sets including
"OLD HOLDENS", "SANDMANS" & "OLD HOLDENS Series 2".
These Holden dinnerware sets have been extremely popular, & have been big
sellers in Myer & David Jones stores, amongst other outlets.
The success of Jenny's Holden range has seen them being commissioned for use
on Puzzles from Blue Opal including "Yellow & white EK Holden", "Chateau
Mauve Torana", "Cruising in a Holden Premier" & an "EH Holden Station
Wagon". These Holden Puzzles are proving to be a bit hit with Holden fans.
Jenny's Holden paintings are also used on Stubby Holders, mugs, glasses, &
beer steins, in a wide range of different Holden cars, available from The
Stubby King. These great Holden products have made outstandingly popular
gifts for the guys, especially for Father's Day presents, & Xmas gifts. The
SANDMANS & HOLDEN pictures have also been produced on Canvas prints
available from Concepts of Utopia."
