Jenny is a renowned auto artist who loves painting the Classic Cars of the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s era.
Jenny has been painting for many years but while attending a car show at Burwood in NSW back in 2005, she was commissioned to paint a picture of a Monaro by its owner. After her first car show she started painting people & their cars, & that was the beginning of the journey.
The result netted Jenny further commissions and the rest, as they say, is history. Her striking work has appeared in numerous private collections as well as on calendars, dinner sets, stubby coolers, mugs, glasses and even on puzzles & clocks.
Jenny says: I think it’s always the people who own the cars that make it so appealing.
The joy they get from a painting, & the buzz I get from seeing their faces light up when they see the end result - Mostly I find that it’s the women who commission my paintings of their husband’s or boyfriend’s car, because they know their guy’s cars mean more to them than anything; & they go along with that.
Some cool new paintings of Kombis & Holden Muscle cars by Jenny have now been compiled in a calendar by Bartel for 2012.
On the calendars at Newsagents & Post Offices, on Placemats & Coasters at Myer, & on Blue Opal puzzles found in Big W & KMart.
